Baby Love: Week 34

I wanted to do a really mysterious, beautiful forest in the backround, one where any moment you might see some manner of fantastic little creature poke out from behind a tree.

The Avalon Ballroom is a legendary music venue in the Polk Gulch neighborhood of San Francisco that operated briefly from 1966 until 1968, and again from 2003 to the present.
In its 1960s heyday, two bands typically performed during the evening beginning about 9:00 p.m. Many local bands, such as Quicksilver Messenger Service and the Steve Miller Band, served as backup bands, as did the early Moby Grape and headliners such as the 13th Floor Elevators, the Butterfield Blues Band, and Big Brother and the Holding Company, which Helms organized around singer and performer Janis Joplin in spring 1966. In 2003, after learning from Stanley Mouse that the building was available, neo-hippie Steve Shirley (aka Morning Spring Rain) of the Hog Farm commune restored and re-opened the Avalon Ballroom as part of a larger Regency Center music hall and special events space.[3]

[edit] Plot summary
Set in and around a fictionalized version of New York City's American Museum of Natural History, a few select characters must solve a string of brutal murders that take place inside the museum during the days preceding the opening of Superstition, a spectacular blockbuster exhibition.
It also appears that several museum leaders had known about previous murders on the museum's premises, and that they had conspired to keep these murders a secret so as not to damage the reputation of the museum (shades of Jaws).

A film based on the book was released in 1997, but changed several aspects of the book, omitting numerous characters and changing the setting to the Chicago Museum of Natural History rather than the New York Museum of Natural History (fictional but strongly based on the American Museum of Natural History). his role is combined with Lt. Vincent D’Agosta

William Bill Smithback
Entertaining but nosy journalist investigating the Museum Beast for the New York Post; The packing crate that contained the Mbwun plant the monster needed was stored for a time at the museum and allowed the monster to survive without killing.
The best part was that is was a lot cooler and there was also very little wind - good running conditions. So, I headed eastbound along Stretton Road, running past the Thorn Pub and some 500 metres or so beyond it, turning at the next left-hand turn into New Lane.
